Amazon can be held liable for defective products sold on its Marketplace in California, an Thursday. The California Fourth District Court of Appeals reversed a 2019 trial court ruling and reinstated claims from a woman who says she suffered third-degree burns when a defective laptop battery she bought from a third-party seller on Amazon caught fire.
The decision could have dire repercussions for Amazon, that it only serves as an intermediary between buyers and third-party sellers on the Marketplace portion of its platform. Epic rallies Fortnite players against Apple with a warning that they’ll miss the next season

Apple has from the App Store for violating store policies, and Epic is rallying players against the iPhone maker in part by telling them they could miss the gameâs upcoming season if Apple doesnât change its rules.
âBecause Apple has BLOCKED your ability to update, when Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 4 releases you will NOT be able to play the new Season on iOS,â Epic said titled â#FreeFortnite.â
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 is scheduled to begin on August 27th.
